Call me an old romantic softie, but my Christmases are never complete without a showing of 'Love Actually'.
I suppose this must be the most popular scene in the film. Something to enjoy on a Sunday morning.
A diverse offering twixt the interesting, the unusual, and the amusing.
I love that movie! I haven't watched it in a long time.
ReplyDeleteAlong with 'It's a Wonderful Life', it's my must watch Christmas movie.
DeleteI'm going with my daughter to the Symphony Hall in Birmingham in December as the film is being screened and a live orchestra performing the music. It's one of our favourite Christmas films and we are very much looking forward to it.
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like fun. I've never heard of that being done.
DeleteIt's also my husband's favourite scene. I'm usually shouting 'don't do it!' as Harry phones Mia.
ReplyDeleteIt's beautifully filmed, with a few excellent cameo roles. I particularly like the woman by his side.
DeleteDid you need to make me cry so early on a Sunday morning!!!
ReplyDeleteProbably yes!
DeleteI have never seen "Love Actually" and have no intention of ever watching it.
ReplyDeleteI'll let them know.
DeleteYP, why?
DeleteNot a film I've ever seen, though read and heard much about it. It seems a firm favourite with many people. We have no local cinema and I don't watch much TV, so the odds are that I'll miss it next time it's shown.
ReplyDeleteIt's pure entertainment from beginning to end. I've seen it maybe four times, and I'd happily watch it again.
DeleteI notice that, with the exception of YP's predictable and veiled pseudo macho or superior response, your commenters are all female so far. Well I'm not afraid to say that I've watched it several times and would watch it again. Sometimes it is good to relax and be carefree.
ReplyDeleteIt's simply a piece of well-crafted entertainment. Good fun.
DeleteWe all need a little more: "Happily ever after" on the big screen or even better in real life.
ReplyDeleteI never watch films with violence, explosions, or car chases, so this for me is perfect.
DeleteIt’s a lovely part of the film and one which has the sweetest music the Portuguese theme
ReplyDeleteI love the translation of his words.
DeleteCro, you liking that movie is a 'telling'... similar to a person who's kind to animals (IMO).
ReplyDeleteBoth apply to me. I am also a great animal lover.
DeleteHaving been a long time fan of Alan Rickman, I always cringe when he meets Emma Thompson at the airport. Yes, I know it's not real !!
ReplyDeleteI'm not a fan of ET, she's a good actress, etc, but I find something very unattractive about her.
