Have you (like me) always wondered what the music from Hieronymus Bosch's 'Garden of Earthly Delights' painting sounds like? The score (written on some poor chap's bottom) has now been deciphered, and here it is, played in 15th C fashion, for your delight.
Not the world's greatest music, but interesting enough to have the question solved..

Quite pleasant- a lot of music for a small bottom.
It won't make 'Top of the Pops'.
They made the most of it; there wasn't a lot to go on.
Actually, it goes well with the painting.

I've never been keen on that painting - quite like the music though!
I've never thought whether I like it or not, it simply tells an horrific tale. Not a world I wish to inhabit.
A rather pleasant piece of music to accompany a weird painting of hell. I have never really understood the painting but I like the music.
I don't think I ever tried to understand it. To me it was always a religious painting that tried to frighten people.
I always thought of him as a man with a great sense of humour and I like his work. However I suppose it went much deeper than humour.
Didn't find the music inspiring but have always been fascinated by the painting.
They should have used a sackbutt.
