No they're not next to the lovely old house, but in the top picture you can just see the owner's own lovely ancient home. The more I see of this project; the more I despair.
About 300 yards. We are probably the least affected by their presence, but eventually there will be more than 20 holiday makers staying there (if he manages to find clients).
Why shipping containers??? Why bury them? Who seeks out that kind of holiday? If I traveled to France for a holiday, I'd be wanting to stay in that beautiful old home, not a hot metal box. It makes me think of paranoid sects armed to the teeth living out in the desert waiting for Armageddon! -Jenn
That is what my comment was about Silly Girl. They are supposed to be buried underground but as yet have not been so. Hence my comment about maybe he has run out of money.
This man is doomed, enjoy the fiery trail of his bankruptcy. John Lewis is on the skids, I used to be their biggest fan but shoddy service finished me off. The two are related as John Lewis is being ruined by people who think they know better than the public, this man is suffering from the same disease. This will turn into an organic pig farm with a few years.
Can we change Pig Farm for storage units? Too close for Pigs. You may be right, he's doing all the work single handed, and there's an awful lot of it. He may not live long enough.
Hipsters will stay in them. I have seen some of my families pictures of where they stayed on holiday in the summer and they were over joyed they stayed in a Pod. Which is a glorified shed. No loo. Just some kind of bench that you sleep on. they thought it was marvelous. Something like this http://greenecoliving.co.uk/camping-pods.html and they paid a small fortune to stay there

Oh My Gawd !
They are not next to that beautiful home ?
I thought they were to be buried ! How ugly,
Burn them. Stupid mayor.
cheers, parsnip and badger

Is that it - open for business?
Still a bit more to do yet, but for a really rustic holiday they could bring their own sleeping-bags, and doss down.
It's hard to believe this is being allowed. A nightmare.
Our mayor quits this year; this is his legacy.
Cover them in ivy and wisteria..........?
They should eventually be covered in grass. I can't wait!
How far are they from your house?

Not a nice sight. Hopefully they at least landscape it so it's not so damn intrusive
I wonder when he will start burying them. I hope he hasn't run out of money and they remain as they are now.
I still can't imagine who'd want to stay in them. They look to us like a row of 'festival portaloos'.
Maybe he'll come to his senses, and move!
Are you sure that this isn't an elaborate practical joke at your expense?
Who in their right mind would stay in one of those? While visiting France? Jesus.
I'm so sorry.

I suppose we'll have to wait until April 1st 2019.
That's what everyone says; other than the planning dep't.
We wondering if he doesn't have a secret contract with the government to take in illegal immigrants (refugees).
Could they bury them maybe 10 feel under???? Just sayin'.
They're supposed to be half buried, but at the most they'll end up half covered.
They look like a hotel for zombies.

Why would Jesus want to do this?
By the time he's installed the floors, walls, and ceilings, they'll be hotels for midgets.

Modern planning rules gone insane.
Don't those sea cans only have a lifespan of ten years?
If there is a God they will be in his back yard.

In this case, TOTALLY.
Yes, they won't last. False economy. I don't know if anyone's told him!
'Bonkers' is being kind.
Who in the hell would stay in those? And who in the HELL allowed them??? Outrageous....
I would want the TOP of them ten feet under!
Ten foot hole would bury a container completely.
