We awoke yesterday morning to -2 C, and about an inch of snow. Nothing to hold us back from our normal routine, but enough to make me wear thick woolen socks inside my gumboots.
Usually I would be screaming insults at the Norse gods of Snowfall, but this year I seem to be more accepting of the cooler weather; maybe I'm simply dressing more appropriately.
Bok doesn't seem to differentiate between weathers, he just accepts whatever is there, and gets on with the job in hand.
It did all look quite Christmas-cardy, but I'd still prefer Caribbean-islandy. Thank goodness it was all gone by lunchtime, but even so, our wood burner was much appreciated.

we all need to adopt Bok's worldview. Here we have a strange heat wave,26c will be at noon.
That sounds perfect to me; 25 C is my preferred temperature.
It does look pretty though.
Beautiful fresh snow, but for half a day is enough. Love the photo of Bok, he seems to be encouraging you to run in it like him.
Greetings Maria x
As Sue said it looks very pretty. Miserable day here today - steady rain all last night and most of the day. It did clear up about 5 p.m. and we took Sophie for a walk. Most unusual for us to get continuous rain like this and it forecast for a few more days - where is summer?
It's very frosty this morning; about -5 C. I just went out with one dog, and returned with four. Amazing that people leave their dogs out all night in this weather!
I tiptoed like a fairy! No running through snow for me.
Wills said it was so cold in Oz, that he needed to wear a T Shirt! If only!
Your house looks so exposed without all your summer greenery. Now we can see it in all its glory!
And so cosy inside
We played pétanque on Wednesday evening. A cold start, then the temperature started to drop. By the end of the night our hats, scarfs and boule bags were glistening in frost. If it wasn’t so perishing cold it would have been a magical sight.

A few Kms north of you and we have yet to have any snow. Let's hope it stays that way.
No snow here, would have liked to have had some, not much, just the same amount as you have had!
In Austrian terms "a sprinkling of sugar". Strange about the dogs.
I love it as long as it doesn’t hang around too long ..... it all looks so pretty. !!! I love the seasons and it makes you appreciate Spribg and Sumner ...... get your thermals on Cro !!! I think that Bok has got it right . XXXX
You're right about the 'cosy inside' bit, but not so sure about the 'glory'.
Not really a winter game. I like the shade of Plane trees, a glass or two of Pastis, and (of course) a winning streak!
We were very surprised. It wasn't announced.
Looks like we were just in the wrong spot.
The dogs are at a neighbours'; not their own dogs but 'visiting'. Amazing that they just leave them outdoors to fend for themselves. Poor things.
I think today's frost will linger much longer. In fact I don't think it'll get much above ZERO all day.
One day we had pictures of Paris floods, the next day we had pictures of Paris snow.
Even cosier inside your cottage now, then.
"Sharing is caring" as the saying goes...think of the good its doing the garden.....
Maybe tomorrow we'll have South West sunshine?
Fires lit everywhere; it's very warm.
Hopefully killing bugs.
Quite a lot of snow coming and going in West Yorkshire too. It doesn't tend to settle for long - though we have had trouble when it turns to ice.
I know you have told me before, but in the background aside from the wood burner, you do have central heating, like panels heated by hot water so that your whole home is warm and not just one room.
Our this morning's frost has now gone, so it's not too bad here.
We have oil heaters, electric heaters, and wood. I prefer wood, but early in the mornings I tend to use the others. The house is pretty warm.
Your wood burner looks so lovely. There is nothing like a fireplace to get the chill out of the morning.
Don't forget light drizzle. That's what we've got today.
That's a great picture of your home. We have lots of snow coming for the next 3 days. It's pretty but nicer when it goes. I am looking forward to spring.
It's belting out heat as I write, and it's snowing. I don't think it'll settle.
I'm not a snow fan. I'm like you; looking forward to warmer weather.
Friends in Barcelona tell me it's Baltic there too. However their idea of Baltic might not be the same as mine.
Cro - your snow looks beautiful but your log fire looks even more so.
Now you come to mention it there is a nudist pétanque club in Lytham & St Anne’s...
Does Lady Magnon give you a great big kiss each time you build a lovely fire and keep it going?
I've only just got up, and it's white with frost again outdoors. -2 C I think.
That's exactly how I see it Weave!
Actually, she lights the cooker, and I light the wood burner. We exchange kisses!
The wood burner left looks warm and cozy! Gabs
I think Bok's look says it all. 'It's just a bit of snow, can we get on?'
