All change.
Lady Magnon has been moving pictures around. She has decided that a couple of my old self portraits should come out from the depths. You may have seen both of these before.
Student portrait circa 1970.
Grumpy old git (unfinished) portrait circa 2004 (complete with cobwebs).
I wonder how long it'll take for her to get fed up with these two; no doubt they'll be back amongst the Spiders before too long.
There's a bit of Captain Haddock from Herges Adventures of TinTin about them !!!!! .... very seafaring !! They are terrific ... Lady M obviously loves you very much !! XXXX
Are you kidding!? Your grandsons would love to have these! All the cool stuff you do with and for them..., Better make some more, they'll be fighting over who gets them!
"They" say you should move your art around so you can see it with fresh eyes. That is true but after hanging it in the right spot I do not want to move it. Wonderful paintings.

I quite like those. Did you consciously choose the other profile for the 2nd portrait?
Not really, it was probably a question of light.
Now you need a third portrait, wise old man.
I've been meaning to do another, but...
I think the second one captures you better than the first.
The so-called Grumpy Old Git will be up there in the frame casting a critical and all seeing eye over happenings in the house.
Alphie
You mean the 'grumpiness'? I was still young and flighty in the first one.
And frighten visitors!
I think the first one is more like you, but i might be wrong.
Maybe. I certainly enjoyed working on it more than the second one.
I like the first one better too.
The second one reminds me of the front page of my brothers' copy of The Eagle.
Wot? Dan Dare?
I was more relaxed, I think.
Dan Dare with a beard.
He had a big chin, and cheeky eyebrows.
go on.....
I like them both, very much. I wouldn't be able to choose one over the other. The first in particular shows that Kimbo is very much like you!

...yes do...
I like them Cro.

Yes he does look like me; poor boy.
Augusts John. That's the first one as you well know. Not so keen on the other one.
Those are wonderful, Cro. Such talent!
You should have seen our late neighbour; he and the Captain could have been twins.
Thank you Jo. I'm a bit insecure about things like portraiture.
I hope someone will keep them, but one never knows.
I'm a big John fan.
You flatterer!
I like them both.

Wonderful paintings.
cheers, parsnip
Thank you Jane.
One painting that Lady M moved has certainly improved with its new location. You're right.
He was very kind to Dylan.
Don't be; methinks you're great!
