I notice it's your birth year. I enjoyed this, thank you. I grew up watching these cartoons. Wish we could heal at an instant, like in cartoons when our fingers get squashed! Greetings Maria x
I hope it passes off without incident. They said on our new there are 50,000 police and 10,000 soldiers on duty today to make sure it all passes off peacefully. What's the world coming to when we need this kind of security. Was there ever a time when a gendarme on his bicycle was more than plenty, or did I dream it?
Starting in 2015 politics has been splendid fun. If you look at the list of self important, incompetent, deluded and greedy people who to their surprise and chagrin have been thrown out of power by the great unwashed it does make me smile.
In the UK we still have some prize idiots in the system who are protected by sitting in safe seats but hopefully some of them will come unstuck as well.
It does seem odd that the standard of politician thrown up by the system in USA, UK and France does not fill one with confidence. I would start by banning anyone under the age of 40 or anyone who has worked for a politician or NGO.
Who knows making people experience the real world first might help to make our so called leaders a little more sensible and less inclined to waste money on vanity projects, HS2 anyone?
HS2 seems like a wonderful waste of money, and for who's benefit? No-one knows! The world is in a dreadful state, and all caused by some of the worst politicians of all time. Gawd knows how it'll all end.
I loved the cartoon...it's just a year younger than I am. I'll be going out for a walk soon...maybe by the time I get home some of the French election results will be drifting in. I haven't actually checked to discover when the polls close today. Best wishes.
The next round of the election will be the interesting one; seeing where the previous losers lend their support. I suspect Macron will win. He's 'middle of the road', quite young, and good looking; what more does the electorate want!

Thanks for a chuckle with my morning coffee.
May the best man win!

'Man' being important in our case.
One of my grandsons recently had a cartoon lump on his forehead; it didn't heal quite so instantly.
Love it.
Poor Mouse.
p.s. Yes, I hadn't noticed the date. Good vintage!

Fighting at the Ballot Boxes is something we associate with less democratic countries; unfortunately those ways have been imported 'big time'.
My only wish NOT M. Le Pen. A nightmare.
By the way why "yawn"in your title ? Are you not interested in the result ?
It's only Round 1; they're just sorting out the no-hopers. It's the next round that counts.
I agree; she's exactly that!

They should get up earlier and catch an earlier train. Too much like common sense for any one to see that though
I hope your election turns out better than ours did in the US.
All of our news shows are reporting on it - I hope for better results than we had here in the US.
Yes, the ticket would be far cheaper, and the train wouldn't struggle to reach high speeds before having to slow down again.
We don't have a 'Trump', but every crazy extreme party is represented.
The main loonies all have their supporters, but I'm hoping someone from the centre (as we have in the UK) will win the day.

Thanks for that Cro, took me back a bit.
Are the kids allowed to watch this kind of thing now, after all there's a lot of cruelty in it. lol

I took a quiz on twitter as to who I'm most alike. Macron. (never heard of him before)

Yes, but nothing hurts for more than 2 seconds.
No-one has Jimmy. New boy on the block. He'll win.
