Heredity.

Two of my grandsons; Aussie brothers, Finn and George.

Not quite sure what they're up to in the photo; looks like some sort of electronic paint-balling.

When we have our own children we expect them to look like us; when we have grandchildren, not quite so much.

I find it quite strange looking at George (right), because he reminds me of me. He could almost be me at that age.

On the down side, if he looks at me today he will probably see something of the terrible physical fate that awaits him. I apologise in advance.

Both good looking boys. Don't look like each other.

I think Finn will look like his Dad's side of the family, and George ours.

Good looking grandsons. What you say made me smile; we like to look at ourselves in our young ones, doubt the young ones like to see their future selves in us. :)

Cute boys, but the military kind of dress not my cup of tea. I never understood why boys are so fond of it.

George would be horrified if I told him he could end-up looking like me.

They were made to wear them by the game providers. They accompanied the 'guns'.

You are blessed with gorgeous grandchildren Cro .... and I think it will be a plus if George takes after you. XXXX

I'm not sure about that!

Yes, George looks the image of you from the school rugby photo you have shown us. I remember one photo of his mum, the one with attitude, and Finn reminds me of that

George also has some of my characteristics. He takes no prisoners.

I look at some of my grandchildren and wonder where they came from, there doesn't seem to be a likeness of either of us. I must say they are both good looking boys Cro.

They're both nice boys. They keep their mother busy!

On the few occasions when \i have caught a glimpse of a picture of you I have always thought you are typical of an artistic Brit abroad. Nothing wrong with that.

Really? I suppose painters do tend to look like painters; I have no idea why. I can't help being who I am.

I was just going to say what Weaver wrote.
At George's young age he might think I just love my Granddad. When he gets older he will be happy with his "family look".

cheers, parsnip

They say when you get old, not that you are old for one minute Cro, that you get the face you deserve.

I'm really chuffed that I resemble one of my grandads. When I was a boy I liked him enormously.

It's been fun to have a fast-moving review of your most recent posts. I also see the resemblance between you and your grandson. Reading about the available French properties was amusing.

It's my plan to be a more frequent visitor to your interesting site. Best wishes.

Adorable boys...which reminds me...can we see a photo of the new one? :)

That's all one can hope for. I hope you're right.

They do say that one is genetically most similar to one's maternal grandmother.

Always nice to see your comments here Frances.

I was going to put up a photo when he was born, but they didn't want me to. I'll ask them again. He's a nice looking boy, but still without a name, although a few ideas have filtered our way.

I am sure your grandson is very proud to look like you, Cro.

I see my mother in the mirror a lot lately, and sometimes a flash of my grandmother! :)

Love the rainbow socks with camo.
