The Future of Music?

They do drone on a bit, but expect more of this in the future.

  1. Cool! I'll share that with Lou when I manage to rouse him.

    1. It needs a little fine-tuning, but it's a start.

    2. Yep it appealed to a 12 year old. Maybe a CDT project?

  2. Very clever, and a lot of "setting up" must have gone into that performance. Presume that in time, special "music" will be written for the "ensemble"? I'd miss the sheer volume of a full orchestra, and on the pop front - well I can't see many posters up on bedroom walls !
However I suppose one gets used to most things given time.

    1. Yes, but I can't see myself going to a full concert, of no matter what genre.

  3. NO, I can't see me going to one either, but no doubt the trendies will embrace the "culture" !
Cro, on Weaver's blog you mentioned European Health cards. They last five years, then you have to renew them. We've just renewed ours, I think husband phoned the UK, and it was all dealt with very quickly. All the details are on line.

    1. Thanks for that, I haven't checked yet, but it sounds as if it's well out of date.

  4. I expect our son has seen this .... he's a music producer and this could be right up his alley. This is obviously the way forward !!!! XXXX

    1. I'm not sure if it improves on computerised music.... it just involves some clever flying control.

  5. Yes clever with accurate flying. I thought the video might end with the 'musicians' holding their controls, doing high fives and giggleing.

  6. Cro - re Health cards. Yours may indeed not run out. Ours were ten years old and expired at the end of 2015, but I understand that now they are permanent. I shall know when we get our replacements.

    1. I've already found that it has expired (end of 2015), and have been trying to get a new one; without too much success so far. I think I need a new password.

  7. I dreamt I was flying a drone last night, but only for filming purposes!

    1. They seem to have already taken over for film use. Helicopter Co's must be fuming.

  8. Very clever! I peered at the screen when the keyboards featured, as I'm a pianist, organist and more recently played the keyboard!

    1. I'm waiting for them to play an Alto Sax; that should be worth watching.

  9. This, for some reason, makes me think of me and my brothers inventing things with meccano, them more than me, and me looking on and fiddling with nuts and bolts and small spanners.

    1. My youngest son invented an automatic tea bag stirring machine with Meccano. It worked too!

  10. For some reason, this post reminded me of a John Cage concert I attended way back when, as part of a summertime Lincoln Center Out of Doors festival.

It also reminded me of time spent in an office with a malfunctioning air conditioning unit just above the room's acoustic ceiling tiles. My office mates and I posted a picture of Philip Glass on our bulletin board.

And yet I do like electronic music.

    So many connections.

    Best wishes.

    1. I still have my copy of the very first ever record of electronic music. Unfortunately I no longer have a record player.
