A diverse offering twixt the interesting, the unusual, and the amusing.
Thank you Cro - we'll be dining out on that for weeks !
ReplyDeleteI collect useless info. I have a book full.
DeleteThat sentence will probably only work if said with a proper London accent! x
ReplyDeleteThat would be two 'ands' and three 'ans'. Coach 'an and, 'an and 'an 'orses.
Delete..or an Irish one....
DeleteThank you, besides the vowels, I've also learnt two new words today. I thought of the word "ambitious" but realised I was spelling it wrong; with an "e" instead of the 'i' . Silly me! Now I have learnt to spell it correctly. Greetings Maria x
ReplyDeleteGlad to be of use!
DeleteWell I can't say I didn't learn anything. I didn't know about the 'ands'. Oddly enough I did know about facetious and abstemious although I couldn't have told you they were the only two.
ReplyDeleteUntil someone invents another!
DeleteThank you Cro ...... ' not a lotta people know that '..... you are a mine of information. It's good to have these nuggets stored at the back of one's mind to bring out at the right time !! Your blog is certainly more enlightening than mine !!!!! XXXX
ReplyDeleteAnd yours is far more attractive than mine.
DeleteThe first one I have come across before in our school grammar text book in the days when grammar was taught. The second is new and I will happily reproduce when the opportunity arises. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteI can't remember where I first saw it, but it was a long time ago.
DeleteThe quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog.
ReplyDeleteAre you sure about that?
DeleteMakes perfect sense to me.
ReplyDeleteMe too.
DeleteAnd how funny - I was thinking about the Coach and Horses in Farnham yesterday, so Googled it up. It has been closed down like so many other pubs, and is now boarded up with a To Let sign on it.
ReplyDeleteThat was my favourite pub; what a shame.
DeleteHow excellent! Now that is pure gold. Shall remember and much repeat. thank you.
ReplyDeleteEssential information for a full and varied life.
DeleteMy husband calls it useless information, I call it knowledge.
ReplyDeleteYou're both right.
DeleteAnemious- growing in windy conditions. Yes google is my friend! Rhythm has none- my brain thrives on this type of important trivia. Thanks for sharing! Arilx
ReplyDeleteThere's always someone who'll come along and burst my balloon. I've not heard of 'Anemious', but I'll add it to the list anyway. Thank you.
DeleteBeing one who prides herself on knowing useless information, I thank you for adding to my storage of "who cares"
ReplyDeleteGood.
DeleteKnew the first but not the second Cro. So added to my store of useless information too.
ReplyDeleteThe more useless information one has, the better.
