The Sunday Giggle: Stavros Flatley.
If you've not seen this (or even if you have), and you've got 5 minutes to spare, enjoy one of the best ever auditions for TV's 'Britain's Got Talent' from 2009. The fabulous Greek Cypriots, Stavros Flatley and son.
I am wondering what made you think of that as a post? I believe they went on to do quite well for a time, though I imagine that when the kid grew up it wasn't such a funny act!

Optimistic Cro!
The difference between an optimist and a pessimist, is that the optimist enjoys himself whilst waiting for the inevitable! I AM that optimist!
This is a daily, optimistic, 'photos and comments' blog. I make no judgements (only occasionally), just notes. If you wish to comment in any way at all, please feel free. Everything and everyone (except the obdurate and dictatorial) is very welcome.
I was born just south of London, but for the past 50 years I've lived in S W France. I am a painter by profession, and writer by desire. Lady Magnon and I live between an ancient cottage in a tiny village in perfectly tranquil French countryside, and a bijou townhouse in Brighton UK. In France we have plenty of fruit trees, all situated amongst a view that takes the breath away, in the UK we have a handkerchief sized patio. We also have a Border Collie called Billy. I try to treat our planet with respect, and encourage others to do likewise (without preaching).
Contentment is a glass of red, a plate of charcuterie, and a slice of good country bread. Perfect!
Funny! Hasn't convinced me to watch Britain's Got Talent on a regular basis though.
ReplyDeleteNor me really, although the early stages with the no-hopers is always amusing.

ReplyDeleteI also think that it was only this first audition routine that was funny; afterwards they just didn't cut the mustard.
DeleteI enjoyed it loads and a great way to start Sunday for me. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a good belly laugh to start the day. Thanks for sharing this Cro. It was delightful.
