Best Friends.

Holidays are times for unwinding, and just letting the world go by.

They are also times for reuniting with old friends, and making new ones.

Harvey J and Ollie have become best friends with our two dogs Monty and Bok, and they are now inseparable. I love to see them all running in the fields together without a care in the world; just as life should be when you're small.

It doesn't get much better than this. (Bok was just out of the picture)

It's a pile of gravel outside our barn. It should (eventually) become part of the new concrete floor (if the bloody builder ever turns up).

Very lucky children!

Monty looks more like a Great Dane than a Labrador. A lovely picture to remember them by when they return home.

We know his mum was a Lab' because we saw her, but we often wonder what his father was. Great Dane has crossed our minds too!

More than a summer relationship, by the look of it.

A lesson of living in the moment if I ever saw one Cro!

I agree with everyone, that is a really lovely picture. Another one for you to paint. Those boys are going to remember this for the rest of their lives, and you are a wonderful Papa.

Lovely photo and lovely blue sky. We could do with some of that idyllic weather over here.

Would that life could be so idyllic for all small children...

Love the photo--it radiates joy.

I've been harping-on about Olympic Javelin hopeful Goldie Sayers recently. She was eliminated after three 'no throws' due to an elbow problem. Poor Goldie must be devastated.

If only, Broad. If only!
