The compact Royce has been moved to the shelter of the barn, the wood shed is piled high with sawn and split logs, and Cro is wearing 3, yes 3, thermal vests. Winter has arrived.
Luckily we also have a wood-fired oven in the kitchen, which not only cooks, but also warms one half of the house. So my Sunday morning fried breakfast was safe; even if it was consumed a little later than usual.
How I hate the cold, and snow in particular! I'M STAYING INDOORS.

I think it must be; and for Bok too. They both seem more interested in the ice on puddles, than the actual snow.

Oh my, I am so sorry that the bad weather that I have heard about has taken over Europe, has come your way. It will be over soon, since spring is just a llittle more than a month away. Winter often brings the freezing weather and your mindset is compromisesd. Hold on, grab something/ someone strong? Sunshine is just around the corner, and life will be beautiful again,

When you are not used to it, it's that much harder to take. Stay inside indeed and keep warm. This too shall pass.

It looks like you're getting our weather. Here in Ontario, Canada, we have no snow and above zero temperatures!
No matter how cold it looks and feels it looks wonderful to us that don't experience the snow...I also hate the cold Cro, I always want to hibernate and come out when it is a nice day,however last year we had no real winter to speak of and now this year you can count the hot summer days on one hand at the moment..our upside down world is upside down at the weather wise.

I've read several blogs this morning that are talking about the woefully LACK of snow, and how it will impact water supplies and plants. So, there you go. Send some snow over to the states.
That does look cold. Reminds me of getting the washing in at Lingfield when it was stiff with frost, standing it up and watching it gradually thaw and collapse.
I have the gas bottle problem when it is cold and I'm firing the kiln. TRY....
1. rubber hot water bottle on top of the regulator.
2. if the bottle starts to "freeze" (it is actually condensation freezing, not the gas inside) the best way to get rid of that is to pour COLD water over the bottle, not hot.
Also the smaller the gas bottle, the bigger the problem in cold weather.
