Optimistic Cro!
The difference between an optimist and a pessimist, is that the optimist enjoys himself whilst waiting for the inevitable! I AM that optimist!
This is a daily, optimistic, 'photos and comments' blog. I make no judgements (only occasionally), just notes. If you wish to comment in any way at all, please feel free. Everything and everyone (except the obdurate and dictatorial) is very welcome.
I was born just south of London, but for the past 50 years I've lived in S W France. I am a painter by profession, and writer by desire. Lady Magnon and I live between an ancient cottage in a tiny village in perfectly tranquil French countryside, and a bijou townhouse in Brighton UK. In France we have plenty of fruit trees, all situated amongst a view that takes the breath away, in the UK we have a handkerchief sized patio. We also have a Border Collie called Billy. I try to treat our planet with respect, and encourage others to do likewise (without preaching).
Contentment is a glass of red, a plate of charcuterie, and a slice of good country bread. Perfect!
Monty probably thought that your fingers were pork sausages. After all, they look like pork sausages.
ReplyDeletePURE Pork.... Please!
DeletePirate still misses his Frank, a black lab.
ReplyDeleteWith the typical "Seefood" diet!
Labs simply have an amazing appetite. Monty could have continued eating all day long.
DeleteTrouble with dogs - they don't have our life span - and it hurts.
ReplyDeleteI go to his grave and speak to him occasionally.
DeleteI have had a few Lab granddogs and because of their love of food, I know to move my hand quickly when giving them treats.
ReplyDeleteOur past beloved pets always stay in our hearts.
Monty always tried to eat my whole hand.
DeleteWe call them Larderdoors. Suggest flat of hand sort of like feeding a horse.
ReplyDeleteThat's a far better name than Labradors.
DeleteHilarious. Made me chuckle.
ReplyDeleteGood. He did us too.
DeleteOh man, you pulled another really good post.
ReplyDeleteOne man and his dog!
DeleteRick loves his treats and food but refuses to eat his breakfast until he has had his morning walk. A dog of routine I guess.
ReplyDeleteBilly has a hidden clock. At exactly mid-day he waits by his bowl for his lunch.
DeleteWe often call our Roxy the shop-vac on four legs.
ReplyDeleteOur present dog, Billy (Border Collie), isn't that interested in food. He only eats because it keeps him alive.
DeleteForgive me for laughing. Your suprise is pricless.
ReplyDeleteThe love stays. Always. I'm grateful for the furfriends who have graced and enriched my life.
