The Boys.

Back to the old routine. Two boys, a dog, and plenty of mischief, and even in this bloody rain life is so much better.

OK, the sun does shine occasionally, but they don't miss any opportunity to cover themselves in mud, and make Lady Magnon throw her arms up in horror; all in good fun, of course.

Yup, life is certainly good with Harv', Ollie, and Kimbo around, and I think Bok agrees.

  1. What a great picture! I can tell that Bok is in heaven with his boys back in the house!

    1. Bok gets bored with us, and loves some younger blood in the house. Life at the moment is one very long walk.

  2. Two boys that age and a lovely gentle dog appreciating them both...life surely doesn't get any better.

    1. It's lovely to watch. No doubt they'll be pestering for a dog of their own before long.

    1. And her washing machine. Luckily there's enough sun and wind to dry all their washing; and boy, do they have a lot!

  4. There is a lot of carefree peace in that lovely black and white picture.
My parents, pencil marked a door frame in their home with lines, names and dates for various heights of growing grandchildren - grandchildren all grown, marks still there. Greetings Maria x

    1. It's a good picture isn't it. The boys have never been known to sit on a sofa like the rest of us! We used to do the door frame bit too, I think we'll do it with Boo Boo.

Don't tell your husband, but I think they did well to get the points they did (ahem).

  10. Well, my grandkids stopped up the toilet yesterday and I have to go get some gear to unstop it and smudged chocolate fingerprints on the walls. But, sigh, they also made me valentines...

    1. All grandsons block the loo, and leave dirty marks on the walls, It's how we know they've been to stay!

  11. It's fun to imagine the sounds to accompany that photograph of pure joy.

I also liked your previous post about the vintage calculator (looked familiar to me) and technical advances over the past 50 years or so. It's good to realize that children and dogs are still having lots of very untechnical good times together after all these years.

    Best wishes.

    1. It's early evening here, and the boys have just taken Bok for a walk. Quiet will reign for about 30 mins.

  12. Certainly better to have boisterus fun than teenage taciturnity (I actually had to confirm that was a word). Not that our boys went through that phase but I've 'lived' with those that were.
