Our kitchen has been transformed from THIS..... to THIS....
Nice and simple, and extremely practical. There's a bit more around to the left that you can't see; glass fronted wall units etc. And, of course, Lady Magnon's long-desired new non-clettering dish-washer. I'm pleased to say that the room still has a 'cottage' feel about it.
All the electrics have now been installed, but we still have some decorating work to do. I must say, it does looks a bit tidier than before. I wonder how long that'll last?
I did really like the old kitchen too.
That does look good.
ReplyDeleteThe units are actually Ivory/Cream, they look almost white in the photo.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's well posh. Great to have a dishwasher to do the clettering.
ReplyDeleteNext project: Get rid of that nasty thing in the woodpile?
ReplyDeleteCome Sukebind season!
ReplyDeleteWow what a transformation.
ReplyDeleteYou'll just have to train yourself NOT to leave stuff cluttering up the the worktops...
I quite like the first one, but I couldn't be doing with all that clutter.
ReplyDeleteI was raised on clutter, M. It's in me blood!
ReplyDeleteWow! That looks beautiful and bright. Happy cooking.
ReplyDeleteWow looks sleek and modern (I don't know is that a good phrase or not....I will mull that one over for the day). Maybe efficient would be a better choice of words.
ReplyDeleteClettering?? We have a lot of interesting phrases out here in the colonies, but that's not one I've heard or used.
TMG. It comes from Stella Gibbons's wonderful book 'Cold Comfort Farm'.
ReplyDeleteLove both kitchens, very nice and I LOVE the tile floors.
ReplyDeleteClutter comes with the kitchen. I am de-cluttering my kitchen/workspace also. Tossed out a lot of stuff and gave a lot to a re-purpose shop for others to clutter up their space.:+)
You go, Mr. Mag

Very nice. I know Lady M. is a happy lady. After washing tons of dishes since I was old enough to climb up a chair over the sink, I would not do without my dishwasher!
ReplyDeleteIt's gorgeous Cro...and I'm sure, given a little more time, you will give it your own, unique, touch!
ReplyDeleteWatched Cold Comfort Farm (the movie) last night...loved it!
I do like both before and after. There is something warm, cozy and country about the original. The redo is so nice and bright and not cluttered, plus it has a dishwasher. It is lovely Cro and probably more functional. Where or where though did you put your pots.
ReplyDeleteyou may not have a cletter now but you can always get a bit of clutter going and that very soon...looks good though that new kitchen...have fun cooking!
ReplyDelete"A change is as good as a rest' famous quote from our little mum!
ReplyDeleteYour new kitchen is just lovely...shows off the beautiful windows and ceiling beams now! Luv it!
Victoria. Was the Victoria Art College that you attended named after you?
ReplyDeletethumbs up - looks good
ReplyDeleteHI Cro, it looks great, Molly must have enjoyed the shadows, does not matter if it gets a bit cluttered it will just be you making it yours, looks lovely and fresh and i imagine it "feels" great.
ReplyDeleteYour new kitchen looks perfectly stunning Cro, many congratulations on a job well done. May we see a photo of same nearer to christmas please :)
ReplyDeleteSo very wonderful and clean and bright and calming and serene and ..and..just plain good
ReplyDeleteBeautiful kitchen. Nothing like a fresh look and new appliances to stir up an interest in cooking again!
ReplyDeleteIt does look brighter and cleaner. You'll get used to it and like the change after awhile.
