It wouldn't be quite so funny if it wasn't true! This is £257 per man, woman, and child UK resident that we're giving to Mauritius. And, of course, we're throwing-in our sovereign Chagos Islands as well.
We all know how stupid this gift to Mauritius is; other, of course, that the Socialists.
Even Tru*p knows how stupid it is, and has made his feelings known. Maybe Starmer will now see the light, and scrap this very very very silly idea.

In 2019, The UN international court of justice ruled that the UK was “under an obligation to bring to an end its administration of the archipelago as rapidly as possible”. In 2022, the then Tory PM Sunak agreed to begin negotiations on the exercise of sovereignty over the Chagos archipelago. It was argued that Britain’s defence was best served by having legal certainty over the Chagos Islands due to the risk of continued challenges in international courts. It was an acknowledgment that the UK respected international law which is something you cannot say about Trump. This whole affair is not about The Labour Party giving £18 billion to Mauritius. That is a total mis-characterisation of what has really occurred. Trump has distorted the facts just to strengthen his crazy "plan" to acquire Greenland when initially he and his ministers were very happy to endorse the Chagos Archipelago plan that Britain's Conservatives had engineered. Of course my explanation will not fit nicely with your constant appetite for Labour bashing.
