Down the pub!

It was Saturday evening, and Lady M was hosting a girl's 'Gin Party', so I decided to meet Kimbo at his local 'The Eddy' for a few pints, and a pack of Pork scratchings.

Whilst there this nice young lady came in with her dog; a beautiful German Shepherd. The dog came directly to me for a few tickles, then to the bar to order his/her drink. I'm not sure if that glass of rouge was his/hers, but maybe.

The dog stayed there like any other patron, and was perfectly well behaved. You might just see between the lady and her dog, an open book filled with dog photos. The pub' keeps a photographic record on the bar of all the dog visitors; maybe I should take Billy there.

You should definitely take Billy. Rick loves the occasional visit to our local village pub.

I do take him to MY local, but I haven't yet taken him to Kimbo's. I shall, now that I know it's 'dog friendly'.

Yes, not all do, but most here are dog lovers.

I must. I'd love to his picture amongst all the others. It's a big book.

Will Billy be tall enough to reach his glass on the bar?

Cro Magnon said...

I'm afraid not. He'll have to go the puppy bar.

Like many of your photos this one looks like a beautiful painting.

What a gorgeous dog!
You must take Billy , he's such a sweet boy and deserves to have his photo in the book. He'll enjoy the change of scenery too. What's his tipple?

The picture is courtesy of Kimbo, I didn't have my phone with me.

I will take him. Pubs here usually bring a bowl of water for the dogs. It's a nice tradition.

I have had German Shepherds all my life. Very intelligent. Love the pubs who welcome dogs.
That is a big one. Pork scratchings are the choice of a dog.

My sister had a wonderful German Shepherd, Blitz the Wonder Dog.

Almost the size of his owner.

I've known several big GS's, they've all been gently giants. I'm afraid I had all the scratchings myself.

Lovely dogs. We have a neighbour (in France) who bred them and trained them for police work. They weren't always quite so lovely.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, "British pubs are the best." Definitely take Billy to the pub. The German Sheppard looks like a happy regular at the pub.

He or she was a stunningly beautiful dog; and knew it!

I will add my voice to the voices already here: Take that dog to the pub!
