It's official. At last some recognition, I'm finally on the French map. My village has named a road after me. All I need now is Macron to award me the Legion d'honneur.
In our absence, the French government has decided to name every tiny little country road, and to give every home a number. We are now called Two Hundred and something or other! Another example of their taking control of our lives.

Must we now bow and scrape in your presence m'lord?
Oh good. Now I know where to find you. Suitcase is packed. I'll have the West Wing please.
Oh wonderful, fame at last!
Absolutely!
And the mini-fridge will be well stocked.
It's taken them enough time.
I do hope someone had told the "postie" of the changes!
I hope NOT. He only brings bills.
There can be only one Cro, but have added S for Lady M or just forgotten the ' ?
So much for your quiet life of anonymity. The crowds will come rushing to your door, trampling the flowers. The paparazzi will be snapping pictures through the windows and trying to get shots of you and Lady M emerging from the pool. You won't be able to go anywhere without being recognized.
No, there's only one; other than he who lived here in times past.
Such is the downside of fame. I knew it would happen one day!
A street name and house number, now that is progress. The famous can be found and now finding you is made a little easier.
Reading Debby I can't help thinking this would be profitable- you could charge so much per swim in your pool
Congratulations!
What an honor. That is so neat.
I hope you have a Wikipedia page written and published to complete your fame.
One thing at a time, Salty!
They'll soon be telling us that we're nearing the 21st Century.
Or I could even pay them to stay away!
