Walkies.

Even in the darkest of days, there is occasionally some light at the end of a gloomy tunnel.

Your seasons seem to have changed very quickly - it seems no time at all since you closed the pool. Don't recognise the flower.

Maybe with all the rain you'll get a good show of wildflowers now. This looks like one we call 'jinia' here which pops up in the winter, white and pink

Yes, it's been a bit of a shock. One minute hot sunshine, the next minute frost. The flower was a lone one-off.

Dark days indeed - we need the beautiful little things in life to lift our spirits. p.s. thank you for the birthday greeting.

As I said above, it was just a single flower in the middle of a wood. It stood out like a sore thumb.

This little flower certainly lifted my spirits.

Mm, I can just smell those wet leaves. Damp woodland, my favourite scent.

The pic was taken in a plantation of Red Oaks. They are at their best at the moment; wonderful colours.

Maybe that pretty little flower is a good omen for what is about to be decided in the States !!!!! .... although it seems that neither one of them will be any good !!! XXXX

I like nature's lone wolves such as your flower. I saw a Red Admiral in November! Their flying season officially ends in September. In the last week of October I spotted a handful of buttercups and daisies on a hillside near Vienna at an altitude of over 5,000 feet. Lone wolves are nature's insurance.

It reinforces our confidence in mother nature.

I'm trying to think what that flower is. it looks a bit like a campion, but I'm not sure.

I know almost nothing of flowers. But it was a nice little thing; all alone, like that.

I try to keep noticing good things and actions and thoughts, even as the not so good versions seem to be in the spotlight.

Off to the polling place within the hour.

I think I'd have used the phrase 'occasionally into every day a little light will fall'.

I've been listening to the radio all night. Interesting times!

It felt exactly like that. I also just happened to have my camera with me.

Stop. Do not go towards the light. You're much too young and we need your blog.
