Give him an inch....

Some time back I mentioned that I was looking for a classic 'Wing Back Chair'; perfect for my daily post lunch 10 minute power nap.

So you can imagine how pleased I was when a lady we know phoned and asked if I wanted one. I'd mentioned to her that I was looking for one just like hers, and as she's moving back to the UK she wondered if her ageing chair would be of any use.

OK it needed a couple of springs mending, and the cover has seen better days, but it's a genuine Parker Knoll chair and exactly what I wanted; even its colour and scruffiness suits our house.

Unfortunately someone else has had his eye on it. Bok has noticed its arrival in the sitting room, and has declared it 'a dog bed'. Personally I think it's a bit small for him; don't you?

  4. We used to have a Parker Knoll suite at home - very comfy it was too so I can understand Bok choosing this for his bed , albeit a bit small.

  7. I just bought one for my twin brother while I was visiting him last week in Arizona. It is a royal blue with a small rub mark on one arm. I paid eighteen dollars for it at a local thrift store, they had no idea what they had obviously.

    1. Sounds like a bloody bargain. I would have paid more for mine, but luckily it came free.

  8. That's a splendid photo, with its colors, light, angles and curves...and it's relaxing star, contemplating a power nap.

Perhaps you all can share custody of the chair?

    Best wishes.

  12. No it is definitely just right for him. Sorry Cro but the odds are against it ever being your chair.

  15. Yes, animals do that and we seldom mind. However, if a person took it from us, we would not be so forgiving.

  16. Absolutely not, they like a good squeezy fit. It makes them feel all safe. You should see my sister's HUGE Ridgeback girl squeeze into armchairs!
