Head-cracking upstairs beam height at the beginning of the day.
Much more sensible upstairs beam height at the end of the day.
We raised the cross beams by about 2 feet so that we can now walk about without ducking.
We're getting there.... bit by bit.... day by day... blister by blister.
And look what fun we're having with the upper part of the stairwell wall..... A last minute stroke of genius!!!
That should save a lot of headaches. Is that Lady M.?
ReplyDeleteIt is indeed. Ye olde trooper!
DeleteLove the beautiful wood floor. It's all looking good.
ReplyDeleteIt is wonderful to watch the progress,it is lovely that you share Cro and Lady M is doing a great job.
ReplyDeleteYour school carpentry lessons are doing you proud.
ReplyDeleteNice floor!
ReplyDeleteThe higher beam makes more sense and won't knock the sense out of you or Lady M.
ReplyDeleteRaising the beam makes more sense than shortening the people.
ReplyDeleteWe tossed a coin.
DeleteHA! I love Delores' comment.
ReplyDeleteI'll bet raising that beam was a lot of work, but well worth the effort. Now you'll have to find something else to bonk your head on.
I feel a ho down coming on
ReplyDeleteGood work
ReplyDeleteSensible idea moving those beams.
ReplyDeleteIf I were to find a jar of ceps in our deli and bought them - what would I do with them please Cro? I really fancy trying them after your eulogising.
If they are in oil or water, drain them and fry in a mix of oil, butter, garlic, and parsley, then make an omelet in the usual way. Maybe I shouldn't have eulogised quite so much; to us they are part of our annual cycle, but if you paid a fortune for them, you might be disappointed. Fresh is best.
DeleteSuch work for you and Lady M. Those wood floors are just beautiful. It will be wonderful after all your hard work.
