Early evening; June.

After a long day, our early evening ritual is to sit in the shade by the pool and enjoy a glass or two of rouge. It's when we begin to relax after the day's gruelling and arduous tasks have all been completed (well, most of them).

Monty usually joins us, and gnaws on his one-a-day bone-shaped chew.

And Bok, on the other hand, just poses like the super-star that he undoubtedly is, with his left hand nonchalantly dangling in the water; fishing.

It's a hard life.

    1. Not in the pool, they don't. They go to the lake.

  2. I probably should apologise for posting the above. If you are off to some dreary job, it's raining, and you've got toothache; I'M SORRY.

    1. Yes, it looks like some warmth there. Although the day started off fine and sunny it was a bit chilly and we got rain showers in the afternoon with a high of 16 C and the forecast overnight is for 9 C. Still it is winter and spring and summer will be here before we know it.

Doesn't mean I couldn't do with some nice warmth right now.

  7. All very civilised Cro. I have never owned a labrador but I always think they look such a sensible breed.

  10. Just had a perfect lunch of bread, pate, red wine, melon, strawberries and rapsberries. You were right Cro, that pate piquant is excellent. Thanks for the tip! (Time for my afternoon siesta now.)
