Festive Menu.

When my chum Terry (St Theresa of the Floral Tribute), suggested we go to our local supermarket for a special Sunday Christmas lunch; I was, frankly, a wee bit wary.

We started off with a pleasant Kir Royale, accompanied by a few dainty 'Amuse bouches'.

Then on to an interesting salad of raw Scollops with Mango.

And a main course of what amounted to Beef Wellington, with a perfectly cooked, sauce-covered, steak.

We finished up with a very sweet desert (not really my thing), and a good cup of strong coffee.

Through a slight mistake in the wine order, we ended up with a superb Pomerol, and some standard pink. The Pomerol was wonderful.

As you can probably just make-out from the menu, this cost a staggering €13.50 per person  (£11.30, $17.50).

Hardly worth the bother of cooking!
