Here in the UK, the annual dance-fest, known as 'Strictly Come Dancing' is back on our TV screens for yet another weekly display of 'celeb' amateurs pairing with pro's on the dance floor.
As usual there is a wide and varied group of 'celebs' taking part; some much better known than others. This last weekend we were shown who will be dancing with who; all very exciting.
The show is a knock-out competition with one pair being eliminated every week; I'm not quite sure how.
So, what have we got for this year's show? They always try to have a varied selection of people, from old and useless, to young and beautiful. There's usually someone who is disabled, maybe a cross-dresser, a minor actor from a 'TV Soap', a same-sex couple, a nasty person, a nice person, and everything else in between. Whether or not they can dance or not is another question.
I did watch some of this weekend's 'introduction' show, and it was painfully obvious who would be the first to be eliminated (unless reverse psychology is employed).
Someone called Thomas Skinner (above; I have no idea who he is) stood out like a sore thumb, as the person everyone will hate. There didn't seem to be a firm favourite, but no doubt that will appear in time.
I shall watch some of the show, as it will definitely be showing on our TV (Lady M loves it), so towards Christmas I shall be shouting at the TV supporting my favourite. I'll let you know!
I believe the show has been sold to other countries, but I don't know which, or by what name. But if you have it, wherever you are; enjoy!
