I'm sure I've posted this wonderful video before, but it's worth posting again.
Klaus Nomi at his very best.
It's July 14th; Bastille Day. France's National Holiday. So, have a good one!
A diverse offering twixt the interesting, the unusual, and the amusing.
Klaus certainly was very unusual and sadly had an early demise. The first version of this song I remember was by Lou Christie. And Frankie Valli did a wonderful version as well.
ReplyDeleteHappy Bastille Day.
I've only heard Nomi's version, I shall have to make enquiries. Happy Bastille Day to you too.
DeleteWill there be fireworks tonight near you? Happy Bastille Day
ReplyDeleteI expect so, but we'll stay at home with a BBQ. I may have a few rockets somewhere!
DeleteI will definitely not be imitating Klaus Nomi's fashion style. He looked like a right twerp. As for Bastille Day, how come France has a new monarch - King Emmanuel the Mighty?
ReplyDeleteThey've had a quasi-King ever since Napoleon.
