Some "modern art" is self-indulgent rubbish but as, for example, The Tate Modern shows, most of it is worthy of our attention and can often be enriching.
I remember making Amanda very uncomfortable when on a visit to Tate Modern I came across Andy Warhols toilet, and very publicly burst out laughing and asking why 'people even buy into this s&&t?

Good morning Cro. I have a few posts to read that I haven't had time to read in the past few days. Glad to see you had a good trip to your home.
Very tiring journey, but we arrived safe and sound.
Shocking!!
If I'd produced a life-drawing that bad when I was at college, I'd have been shown the door!

Dr Hill is always magnifique... he is as good as any medicine!!
Being in the business myself, I do tend to be very critical. I can usually tell the difference between real rubbish and work that has merit.
I once went to a show of his, and didn't stop laughing for 3 hours!
Hilarious!
Oh dear, I missed my vocation! I have a couple of spare hand rails somewhere, but will to pop out to the Chines shop to buy a whistle!
Hahaha, this hightlights everything that is wrong with the "art" world...they seen us coming!
I think the rudest review I ever wrote, was a spectacular gallery space, filled with trash.
I wouldn't bother if I was you. Buy a jigsaw puzzle instead; it'd still be worth something next week.
They think they can fool us; they can't.
And I presume that's how you described it.
Very funny spin on the art world. Like anything, there is the good, the bad and everything in between.
Mostly 'everything in between'. I met a lot of them when I was at Art College.
