Baby Elephants must be the cutest creatures on earth. I would really like one (as long as it didn't grow-up!
Many years ago Lady M wanted a Giraffe for Christmas; but I had to put my foot down, and say 'no'.
Had she asked for a baby Elephant; who knows!
There's a Disney song, sung by Goofy - 'I'd Like to Have an Elephant for Christmas'. This post reminded me of listening to it with my son when he was little.

DeleteSo cute. I remember the year my oldest wanted a white mouse in a cage, we bought her a toy one in a plastic cage, she was happy with it.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest had a Mouse called Jumble. It developed a tumour which was operated on. It didn't live much longer.
DeleteI agree, the little ones are very cute indeed. We watched a couple during a stay at the Addo Elephant Reserve in South Africa. I could have sat there all day.

ReplyDeleteI do feel mean even to this day, but it was all the daily feeding, mucking-out, step ladders, and tall buildings that cemented my decision.
