I've shown Harry's passport previously. Harry is my youngest son's (Wills) bear, and as he travelled extensively with us, he needed his own passport, which Wills made. It's a dead-ringer for a real one.
What I haven't shown before is Harry himself. So here he is (below), looking exactly like his passport photo; unlike most of us.
Harry's getting old these days, so doesn't travel as much. In fact he stays in England when we go to France, and Wills stays in Oz.
I hope they gave him lots of stamps in his passport. He's a handsome bear and I'm sure was the best of friends to Wills. I'm glad he's being looked after in his old age.
ReplyDeleteHe is. He's out of the loft and enjoying life.
DeleteIs Harry's wife difficult, rude and abrasive? Perhaps he should have picked a different wife.
ReplyDeleteShe's a bit part actress. She was once in an unknown TV soap called 'Suets', all about alternative puddings.
DeleteAll parts in suets being played by puddings.
DeleteHarry has a big smile on his face. He is obviously happy with life.
ReplyDeleteHe's a very good-natured Bear.
DeleteSweet
ReplyDeleteHe is.
DeleteDoesn't he get lonely?
ReplyDeleteNo, I talk to him every day.
DeleteHis passport doesn't make him look like he escaped from somewhere. Unlike most of us😁
ReplyDeleteMine makes me look like a Ghost.
DeleteOne of our penguins has a passport, he loves to go to France.
ReplyDeleteHarry's is just like the real thing, plenty of pages, stamps, etc. It's a wonderful thing.
DeleteMr. Writer by choice...here you go.
ReplyDeleteIndeed.
DeleteIsn't that cute?! I have my teddy (his name is Beary) that I got when I was 2 years old so that makes him 70 years old! He doesn't look as good as Will's bear. Mine has no ears, little stuffing and his bit of his fur has worn off (from hugging, I think!) But I still treasure him.
ReplyDeleteOld Teddies are by far the best, they mature with age. Harry is about 40 years old, but he's looking good.
DeleteI remember the passport. It's good to see Harry himself. His passport is such a good likeness unlike most of us.
ReplyDeleteMine is dreadful. My wife had a very good photo refused, then sent a dreadful one which was accepted. It makes no sense.
DeleteHarry has survived the test of time very nicely. I'm sure there are lots of good memories associated with Harry.
ReplyDeleteYes, he's been an important member of the family.
DeleteHarry has the contented look of a much-loved bear.
ReplyDeleteMy new rescue dog has a passport and it actually has a good photo of her as a three year old when she was adopted by her former owner. She's 14 now and hasn't changed much. Wish I could say the same!
Billy went to the Vet' yesterday for an annual jab. He too has a passport with his photo; very flattering it is too!
DeleteCould Wills draw my passport photo.
ReplyDeleteIt could be arranged!
DeleteWhat a shame Harry doesn't travel so much, I am sure he would love to go with you next time.
ReplyDeleteI'll ask him, although sharing the back of the car with Billy may not suit him.
