Whose chubby little fingers are these?

Clues.

1. He's a household name.

2. His Mum is very famous too.

3. He's my 28th or 29th cousin (apparently).

4. His wife's son writes about cookery.

5. He is a great advocate of bio culture.

6. His favourite meat is Welsh Lamb.

7. He insists on having his morning eggs boiled for exactly 7 minutes.

8. He runs his cars on Bio-Fuels made from English wine.

9. He has two well known sons.

10. And lastly, he has fingers that look like a pound of cheap Pork Sausages.

Who is he?..... Too easy, I know!

I would have thought Charlie boy apart from the relative bit.

Isn't it his wife's son who writes cookbooks (perhaps both)

Valentino Liberace, only kidding, he's dead. It has to be the tree hugger himself....Prince Charles.

The ring and the typical pose gave him away before any of your clues. Have you ever met him?

I guessed Charles as well. I am surprised he has such chubby hands.
Bio fuel made from English wine.
What a waste of wine, or is the English stuff only good for petrol tanks?

I'm probably the only one who could not solve the riddle.

Of course, Tom is her son. I'll change it above; thanks.

Apparently if one was born in England, one is automatically a 28th cousin of HM QE11.

Cro Magnon said...

No, I don't move is such lofty circles.

Cro Magnon said...

All the others have got it right, so no need to solve it yourself.

Cro Magnon said...

Maybe he grows his own; he should!

Too easy!

I'm quite fond of Charles, his heart is in the right place but being 'royal' doesn't half slightly damage the character I think.

Those fingers look almost as though he's got an illness. They don't look healthy.

He's a great guy. Much mocked previously for his forward-thinking environmental ideas, but slowly his detractors are seeing his wisdom. He'll make a good (temporary) king.

I was rather surprised too, when I saw the photo; hence this page!

Too easy. He suffers from water retention, apparently. Has been well covered in the media - especially after long flights. There was a trip to Oz some 10 years ago, he joke about having sausage fingers.

Cro Magnon said...

My fingers occasionally swell slightly during the night.... I think I suffer from 'wine retention'.

Yes. The ring and the pose was too obvious. A harder challenge might be fun though.

Someone's toes maybe?

Sure that picture hasn't been doctored?

I had to read the comments first before I ‘guessed’ right. My lack of interest in tabloids and English/German aristocracy are to blame.

I think I have read your blog first a long time ago and decided to follow in case I lost your witty posts in future.

Photos of hands taken in isolation can be very unflattering. I can think of hands of people in my family that would probably look similar, even hard working hands seem to go downhill in later life. I photographed my hand some time ago to show a ring and was appalled at how wrinkly it looked. I guessed at it being Charles from reading No. 7. He is a fine man, sometimes a bit of a crank, but he is a good father and a good son.

Cro Magnon said...

He might need to see the doctor!

Cro Magnon said...

I agree 100%.

Cro Magnon said...

You are very welcome Friko... I haven't seen your name around for a while.

I've always liked Charles. Our lives have run in parallel, but very different of course. He's always been there, and has always been the 'King in Waiting'.

I don't mind Charlie, in spite of his non piano playing fingers.

Great for plugging holes in dams though!

I love him. I think he’s just brilliant.

He's a good guy. I hope I'm still around for his coronation.

Yes I noticed his hands in a recent photograph too Tom. They are certainly not artistic hands are they? Maybe more like gardener's hands and he is keen on that although I suspect he says what he wants doing and somebody else does the actual work.

Charlie boy! As was said above the ring and pose gave it away... but I never realised his fingers were so short.

I suspect he only gets his hands dirty when there are photographers around, but his heart's in the right place.

Cro Magnon said...

The ring I wouldn't have recognised, but the pose certainly gives him away at once.

11. He is a plonker.

Cro Magnon said...

No he's not.

I don't know why you should. He has a wonderful life, and is highly respected.
