Booty from the Boot Sale.

Frayssinet le Gelat hosts the first 'boot sale' of the season that we actually attend, and on Sunday it provided this wee haul.

A very nice set of 10 silver plated 'Christofle' desert spoons. I've only cleaned one so far.

A cute little early jug, for which I cannot imagine any use; other than to admire.

And a silver plated ice cube grabber; fun for the boys, and very practical for Lady M's G & T.

Not bad.

I like the jug. Your bee sting might benefit from an ice cube.

Looks better stuff than we see at the boot sales round here Cro.

I really like the jug. The ice cube grabber looks like it belongs to Douglas Quaid. (total recall)

Sol that was my immediate thought as well. I suspect that it is destined to be DrEvils claw in the boys many adventures rather than ice cube duty.

I've just put some stuff on it. Lady M's medicine!

The spoons are particularly nice quality.

The jug is really cute; I have a thing about jugs (stop sniggering).

It reminds me of those penny slot machines that had a grabber that lowers to get hold of a watch for you (and never does).

We always use our fingers for ice. Not very hygienic. Your set appears to be spring loaded. I like it.

I have a thing about jugs too.

I quite expect we'll continue to use our fingers next week.

I love little jugs too. I have four which I forget to use. I thought milk or maybe even mustard or chutney. Even have some tiny China spoons which could go with them. At the moment one has some marbles in it and another is full of old coins.
Nice though!

I suppose this one could have been used for milk, but it would have held very little. I might try it.

A small milk or cream jug.

I have just been looking at it again, I think it can hold enough milk for 2 or 3 cups of tea.

I use little containers like this for little bouquets of wild flowers just so I can enjoy them.

I collect pineapple jugs. Very jealous of the Christofle.

I would fill the tiny jug with salt, as I tend to pour it on my food anyway. It is garage sale season here and most of the time cheap junk but now and then some good stuff. Oh how I love finding the good stuff. The search is everything.

That's an excellent idea!

My wife has been complaining for years that our spoons are either too large or too small; now she is happy. They are really good quality and I paid one Euro each for them. Later when I got home I found a hidden price ticket for €35. Bargain!
