What is it with Dogs!
It's nearly 9am, and we've just returned home from our first 'emptying' walk of the day. I'd been aware that I'd had a big smile on my face throughout our whole walk.
I just love to see them sniffing about, then running off together into the woods, after some imaginary prey.
Then later on, it's just perfect seeing them settled down, curled up, and sleeping by the fire; legs twitching, as they dream of the unsuccessful chase.
But most of all I love calling them to come back to me; and being TOTALLY IGNORED.
Oh yes, pink nose; I'm talking about YOU!

Sounds like Sophie!!!!
Dogs will be dogs - that is one adorable picture.
I rarely bother calling mine. I pretend they belong to someone else.
There's no-one else around here to do that with; but good idea!
Ah the joys of having canine family members.
but she comes when SHE is ready.
Poor Bok looks very worried.
He always looks like that; it's his wild staring eyes.
Those eyes are saying one of two things - is it time for a walk or when is our tea coming? Where would we be without our dogs?
I wanted them to look upwards, so I was holding a biscuit. Food always works.
We'd always know when our 'devil-may-care' terrier, Pip, had done something she really should not have done - old Toby would wear a worried expression. Pip just didn't give a damn and would already be on to her next bit of mischief.
At least they sit when you offer them food. I'm still training mine but not so long ago if you did not give them the snack immediately, they'd mug you.
Mickey has the same thing... When we're in the forest he doesn't listen at all when I'm calling him back to me! He just ignores what I'm saying... I love that pink nose your dog has!
They're paying attention now...you must have had treats.
If they're ignoring you perhaps they're part cat.
Wonderful shot it captures the mischief in those two
Yes, that, for me, is the pleasure of owning dogs.
I knew you must have been holding up a treat! They are both SO focused.
Mine don't listen either...but I love them just the same.
Pink-nose is looking at the treat. Bok is looking at you. That speaks volumes. He is definitely your boy!
