Ship ahoy!

Give a boy a boat, some water, and a vivid imagination, and he'll play for hours.

Here was Ollie fighting off pirates, wrestling with man-eating sharks, and transporting his cargo of gold coins to some Treasure Island.

Even Monty joined in the adventure.

  1. It's good to see children playing, while using their imagination. With 'technology' as it is nowadays, it's become a rare thing.

    1. He and his brother do also have 'tablets', but I know what I'd prefer to see them playing with.

  3. That boat probably dates back to the days of your youth. No one makes wooden toys these days. Love it. Even the dog seems interested. That photo is just perfect.

  4. Children still enjoy plain old toys when they put their tablets down.

  5. Kids are always happier with the kind of toys that require imagination...not batteries.

  7. Imagination is the key...I fear the younger generations are losing the ability to use it!
