Most dogs like to stick their heads out of the car window as it's going along.
Here's Monty, airing his teeth, letting his flappy bits flap about, and getting all that fresh air rushing through his pink nostrils. He loves it.
I can remember doing the same thing when I was small.
Did your flappy bits flap about too?
ReplyDeleteMy flappy bits grew later!
DeleteOne happy flappy dog
ReplyDeleteand he is smiling.
ReplyDeleteI know they enjoy it but I've heard that it's bad for their eyes. Is that an old wives tale or is there something to it?
ReplyDeleteYou could be right, but try telling Monty that.
DeleteThey are passing laws now in places were dogs must be restrained in cars or you will pay a fine. I can understand their reasoning, but, gosh darn it, seeing a dog with his face out the window just makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteSeat belts for dogs? Surely not.
DeleteNice pink gums!
ReplyDeleteSadly, we had a small dog that was in the back seat hanging his sweet head out the window and a larger dog crowding him who also wanted his head out the window who inadvertently ( we hope!) pushed the smaller one out. It did not end well.
ReplyDeleteOh dear. We do keep 2 windows open, so they each have their own. So far no fights.
DeleteFlappy bits when you get older? Bugger
ReplyDeleteThere is nothing like it!
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome boy!
