A new member of staff.

Yes, we have a new member of staff here at the 'homestead'. He is amusingly known as 'Creepy Crawley', and is mostly found either beside, or in, the pool.

He's a hard-worker, and his demands are few. He works for just a few hours every other day; and does a grand job.

Seeing as my poor old back hardly functions any more, we decided that we needed extra help with certain outdoor cleaning jobs. Then Kimbo found 'Creepy', who was desperately looking for work.

He takes life quite leisurely, mooching about and climbing up walls and steps. He does a bit of sweeping, then when he's tired he simply goes to sleep and I rescue him from the depths.

It's a bit like having a tame Turtle in the pool.

Sounds a great idea. It also sounds as though you have settled in well to your "summer holiday".

A good friend is taking me shopping tomorrow, and we should have the car back by the middle of next week. When the car's fixed, I'll be much happier. We feel a bit 'stranded' at the moment. Very hot here, so plenty of swimming.

They are a great invention. We got one a year before we moved from our house with a pool. It saved my Husband much back breaking work cleaning the pool. It will be good once you get your car back. I hope you are feeling better and "chilling" as the youngsters say. Regards Sue H

Your tame turtle sounds exactly what you need. You can save your energy for uncorking the wine and considering the menu. Is there a Creepy for the house as well?
Good shopping. I imagine there will be a lot of necessities to replenish, pates and canards, all those essential French specialties

Bending over and 'Hoovering' by hand was back-breaking. Creepy just gets on with the job by himself. I did have another Zodiac system, but it was attached by a tube and all the muck went into the filter. It was useless.

Yes, I'm looking forward to my shopping trip tomorrow. We could probably survive (wine-less) for another week, but we are very short of certain treats.

Let's hope that Creepy does not go on strike for more money and better working conditions.

His working conditions are already perfect, and I've banned him from joining The Lido Workers Union.

You are behaving like a nineteenth century mill owner!
