Mr. Natural Does The Dishes

Sometimes, no always, I feel just like Mr Natural. In this house I like to wash dishes by hand, whereas Lady M uses the washing-up machine (which I have no idea how to operate).

Here is my favourite cartoonist of all time, Robert Crumb, illustrating perfectly how both Mr Natural and I go about things.

It's kind of spooky because you look like Mr Natural too! I would not advise piling up the dishes etc. quite as high as that!

As long as the jobs finished and the glasses sparkle then youve done a good job. . However, I also prefer the dishwasher. It sterilises, deodorises with only a filling up and an emptying to be done by me. I hope you and Mr Naturel both put that pile of dishes away in the cupboard once they're washed and dried

What happened to your "exorbitant rentals" post earlier this morning?

Putting it all away is not my forté. I'm good at getting it all sparkly clean, but that's it.

That's what my wife said, I had to agree with her.

It disappeared!

If it does not run in the dishwasher, it is not kept in my kitchen (with a couple of cast iron exceptions.)

I want my washing-up to be cleaner than that.

If you've never played 'Washing Up Jenga' you've never lived! X

I've only played the 'fine glassware' version.

Dishwashers were invented to make a woman's job easier - no-one said anything about a man's job!

I think you might find washing the dishes therapeutic. Whatever floats your boat!

Sorry Mr Natural, the job isn't well done until those dishes are put away. I like hand washing dishes, having the hands in hot soapy water is the quickest way to warm up in cold weather. Though the warm doesn't last all that long once the dishes are finished.

Yes, men do invent some strange things!

I actually do. I don't have a window in front of the sink here, but I do in France and I really enjoy the simplicity of washing-up and looking out at the landscape.

I believe that a human artery nearest the surface is at the inner wrist, so it is the fastest point on the body to heat the blood quickly. Does that make sense?

Yes, definitely, I frequently warm up by doing the dishes.
