Still alive. Thank you for kind, helpful, and occasionally amusing comments yesterday. I hope to be back soon.
61 - I wrote a whole post this morning and read it then binned it. Suffice to say I feel a little odd 61…. Yes just a little odd. Shortly I’m going to wash ...

So glad you are better looking in real life. Even when ill.ReplyDelete
Talking about still being alive. Some years ago my then father-in-law (RIP) told me that most people die at four o'clock in the morning. Where he got that piece of crap from (though apparently true) I do not know. I blame the Telegraph - a paper he took, every day.
Upshot being that that information had a huge impact on me. Which is hardly surprising since I was brought up on a rich diet of Brothers Grimm grim tales, Anderson's and other noir Northern folk tales. Where others see mist among the trees I see a man hanging from a tree (true story).
So, guess what: I wake, every night, at four - give a minute or two either side. I find myself already in position - on my back, hands folded across my chest. Being blessed with extraordinary patience I lie there and WAIT. Before getting up in order to defy the oracle.
As you can see I made it today - as indeed have you.
And do remember: The ascent may strenuous. When on the descent you need to put the brakes on.
Keep the home fire burning and let others walk Billy, bring your medecine and serve your soup. . Same for Lady M of course.ReplyDelete
That's it. Just hit a few keys. Proves you are still with us!ReplyDelete
Wishing you a swift recovery from your germs.ReplyDelete
Glad to hear you're still here.. a little more and it's behind you.ReplyDelete
That's a great picture of you. Compliments to Lady Magnon for snapping it. You really are a handsome beast. Losing the beard was a marvellous idea but in the photo it seems to be growing back.ReplyDelete
Lots of fluids
Sorry to hear you are both unwell. Hoping you recover soon.ReplyDelete
Take care of yourself,ReplyDelete
Dear Cro (and Lady M) take care, look after yourselves and please do take a photo of yourself in those smart pyjamas when you are recoveredReplyDelete
Must say, Cro, this virus has really hit you hard - you don't look like you at all!ReplyDelete
I thought the same, CG. And WHY would you struggle from bed in the middle of a dreadful virus to shave off your beard??? Hmmmmm...I call BS. He's obviously not as sick as he is trying to make us believe. I think he is just trying to get out of walking Billie.Delete
I didn't realise you were so handsome!ReplyDelete
Oh no, I wouldn't have recognized you at the airport.ReplyDelete
Get well soon, my friends.
Hoping you will soon be feeling much better.ReplyDelete
If that photo says anything, it looks like the virus/Covid has temporarily knocked your socks off. In 7 days (give or take), you'll be good as new!ReplyDelete
Keeping you both in my thoughts and prayers...ReplyDelete
Covid days number about 7. I guess you know where you are.ReplyDelete
That is a very sad looking face. It will be over soon, just keep resting and drink plenty of water.ReplyDelete
Sad to hear that you both have been unwell..but glad that you are improvingReplyDelete
