Yesterday morning a huge orange lorry, complete with crane, arrived up at the barn.
It contained 300 concrete blocks, 200 7cm wide bricks, 3 tonnes of sand, loads of concrete beams with their interlocking blocks, some metal grills for the concrete flooring, and a few other bits and pieces.
Now that temperatures are on the rise, work will start again on the barn. Most of the above will be used to construct 2 bathrooms, a pantry, and a music room/guest bedroom. There might also be a bit left over for a fire pit and some sort of primitive outdoor cooker.
The delivery lorry was wonderful. The lifting crane was radio controlled which meant that the driver could move around and drop the stuff exactly where he/I wanted it. I'd not seen that before.
Right; no excuses, I suppose I'd better get wall building.
