Welcomed Rain (yesterday).
After what seems like months of drought, we've now had a morning of good solid rain.
What's more, if it continues like this for a while we'll probably have mushrooms (Cèpes) in about 10 days time.
For two years running our nearby annual Chestnut and Cèpe Fair (16th-17th Oct) has been Cèpe-less, so our fingers are crossed. Nothing is certain with mushrooms.
The poor dogs are not happy. It's bloody POURING.

Love the sound of rain - mind you we have had a bit much this winter.
what we would give for a bit of that here in poor old parched Brisbane. No sign of spring storms here yet.
It said on the news Montpellier got 10 inches in 3 hours yesterday. Is it true?
Our pool water level rose by about an inch yesterday morning..... quite something! I haven't heard anything about Montpellier.
I bet you got drenched walking the dogs - it hasn't rained here for weeks - unbelievable really.
We are hoping for some of that next week, its promised but with it will probably come more floods for some poor souls.

Yes, our dry sunny period ended yesterday, we're back to normal with grey skies and damp days.
We need it here too Cro. Not a sign of mushrooms yet. What's the betting that we get frost just as the mushrooms start to appear.
What we'd give for a little of yours in poor parched north Tanzania! Enjoy it. Pacify the dogs...
What a lovely sound..the patter of rain. If there is nothing important to be done it's the perfect time for a nap.
Nothing is more miserable to look at than a dog who doesn't care to go out in the rain.
I have to admit that I just opened the door to let them out. Monty rushed out, had a pee, and came back instantly. Bok just looked at it, and stayed indoors till it stopped a bit.
