Visit Africa.

The threat of sending illegal immigrants to Rwanda is supposed to stop the constant flow of overcrowded illegal boats arriving from France. Well, let me tell the initiators of this crazy scheme that it will quite possibly increase the arrivals.

Who in their right minds wouldn't want to be lodged in this lovely hotel in the African sunshine (below); totally free of charge! The hotel boasts a very good restaurant, tennis courts, landscaped gardens, and all the luxuries one finds in an averagely good hotel.

Those we intend to send 'on holiday' will receive spending money, on top of having everything paid for by UK taxpayers. It's almost worth taking a day trip to France, buying an inflatable boat, and being escorted to Britain by the nice Border Patrol folk; before being sent off to Rwanda on a jolly.

I wouldn't be surprised to hear that the Calais 'people smugglers' are charging extra for the possibility of being sent to Kigali. It might prove to be a very popular selling point.

  1. Perhaps some arrangement could be made with Russia to accommodate them in one of the Siberian gulags for a month or two then return them to whatever country they belong to?

    1. Personally, If I was one of those people in Calais, I'd stay in France. It's a lovely country, and the South is a great place to live. I know they are given more money here, but life in France is very good.

  3. The Rwanda plan is both crazy and expensive. If it ever gets off the ground, this particular form of people trafficking will only affect a few hundred would-be migrants. Sunak's speech writers have probably already planned how he will spin it differently and sadly right wingers and ignorant racists will listen to this nonsense.

    1. I can never understand how the idea was ever given credence. It has always seemed like nonsense since its conception; and very expensive too.

  4. How can the government justify the outrageous amount of money spent on the scheme when so many of their own people are having financial problems?
When I read of the millions spent on this, and other schemes, I wonder how long it will be before the money dries up and Britain will be totally bankrupt.

    1. I've always said that it's total madness. I cannot understand how the idea got off the ground. If you think it's bad now, just wait till we get a change of government. Tax and spend gone mad!

  5. Somebody has money to burn. This scheme makes no sense. Integrating immigrants in to the workforce and making them self-supporting builds a stronger economy. Shipping them off to an expensive hotel is all cost and no gain.

    1. I couldn't agree more. This scheme is crazy, and will only end in disaster. We need new thinking about the problem.
