Lady M: Shreek Shreek Shreek !!!!
Cro: What the hell's going on?
Lady M: Look, over there, by Billy's bed. There's a huge Spider!
Cro: Hang on, I'll roll-up some newspaper.
Lady M: Quick Quick, it'll get away.
Cro: Where is it?.
Lay M: There, there, over by Billy's bed.
Cro: Ah, I've been looking for that. That's my black scarf!
Lady M slinks off to find her Girl Guides Ladybird Book of Creepy Crawlies. Red faced.
Billy's look makes it clear what he thinks of humans.
ReplyDeleteWe're all bonkers, but some are more bonkers than others!
DeleteI have to admit that would have freaked me out as well for one heart-stopping moment.
ReplyDeleteIt looked like a scarf to me!
DeleteOh my... that does look very much like a spider of nightmares at first glance. Naughty Cro.
ReplyDeleteI need a good laugh in the morning.
DeleteI am with Lady M on this one!!
ReplyDeleteSurely not!
DeleteThanks for starting my day with a laugh, Val
ReplyDeleteI laughed too; she didn't.
DeleteThanks for the laugh Cro - and Lady M! Billy obviously can't see what all the fuss is about! I don't mind spiders and am frequently rescuing them from indoors when I've left the doors open for the dog!
ReplyDeleteLady M isn't keen on Spiders and always shouts for me to remove them. Had this one been alive I don't know how I'd have got him outdoors.
DeletePoem for Lady Magnon:-
ReplyDeleteIncy wincy spider
Crawling up your bed
Soon she'll be laying
Eggs upon your head
Out came the spiderlings
Crawling on your face
As incy wincy spider
Headed back to base.
I had to look-up the original words after reading your version. I suspect Lady M imagines your version to be true.
DeleteI really don't like those big spiders. I know it is irrational and that they are far more scared of me but I can't help it. I don't like that scuttling across the floor when you see them out of the corner of your eye. I would have reacted the same as Lady M !!! XXXX
ReplyDeleteI don't mind Spiders. I gather them up, and put them outdoors.
DeleteLooks to me as though you have arranged if specially to scare your Lady!!
ReplyDeleteNo, I guarantee that's exactly how it was. I've looked again at the photo and can't really understand how it got like that.
DeleteIn fact it was Lady M herself who told me to take the photo!
DeleteI'm with her on this one that looks like a bloody big spider at first glance ... I would have had kittens!!
ReplyDeleteShe nearly did. She genuinely thought it was some huge Spider.
DeleteI am not a fan of spiders. That photo looks like a large spider. Very suspicious! Did you set this up to alarm Lady M? Game on...time to spoof Cro.
ReplyDeleteNo, not guilty. It was exactly as seen; totally accidental.
DeleteThese things happen, Cro. I once thought some black yarn was a spider... that yarn is now dead!
ReplyDeleteThis was similar; just tassels from my black scarf.
