In absentia

Typical; as soon as we get back to Brighton, Kimbo, Susie, and Suave-Harve swan off to Venice.

We have cyber-spoken, and they have sent photos of their 'fine-dining', but it's not like seeing them again in person. They'll be back quite soon.

They could have waited a while, and maybe even taken us with them!

They haven't missed much here, it's been raining most of the time.

    1. Yes, it won't be long. They will then make us jealous of all their exploits.

  2. Strange posting but, whatever, they'll be back in a day or so no doubt. Glorious weather in Norfolk this week, still dry and 25C.

    1. It's been awful here. I noticed on the weather maps that the 'north' were having it far better than here.

  4. Harve and Kimbo appear to be ogling different Venetian women. I guess Kimbo is teaching Harve the purpose of sunglasses.

    1. I don't know if the photo was 'posed' but I found it quite amusing. Maybe there was another with them looking at each other.

  5. Oh how I love Venice .... I'm very envious. I did see photographs of St. Marks Square flooded as it usually does, but it might not have been recent. It looks lovely weather in the photograph.
We had a MASSIVE storm throughout most of the night last night.... sunny now though. XXXX

    1. I think I saw some lightning last night here, but that was all. Nice day here today.

  6. I'm catching up on blogs... Firstly, I'm glad you made it safely back to Brighton. Secondly, the chair/table combo you posted about a few days ago can be found on Extremis.com (apparently the designer). They do claim it is stackable. I do appreciate clean lines and simple structures, but I agree that this particular contraption is lacking an aesthetic appeal. Well wishes on healing your body aches, A.K.

    1. I'm pleased that people agree with me about that chair thing. It really did shock me when I saw it. I shall force myself to look at their site!

  7. You sound like my mother and I tell her , just speak up and tell THEM what you told me. The part about going with them or waiting for you.:)
You are not old enough to be my father. I am 65.

    1. Actually, in my present state I'm quite happy to be at home. I should get my pain-killers this morning.

    1. He loves travelling, and does it as often as possible. I'm more of a home-boy.
