Lost and maybe Found.

With two young grandsons and their dad staying with us for a while, Lady Magnon suggested buying a drone for them.

I said they'd probably lose it within the first 10 mins.

"I'd tie a sausage to it", she said.

"Why on earth would you do that?", I asked.

"So that Bok could always find it in the long grass".

She's no fool; Lady M.

  1. You're right about Lady M. I'll wait to see how the drone idea panned out for the boys and for Bok.

    4. It's not actually one of my grandsons; but could easily be! You're right about the logic.

  5. A young boy knocked on our door a few months ago and said that his drone had landed in our garden ..... we looked for ages and couldn’t find it ...... I wonder if he ever did find it ?!!!! Drones might be more trouble than they’re worth !!! Have fun with the grandkiderlies !! XXXX

    1. I think they're fun for a short while, then they're quickly put aside. The same amount spent on a bike will give fun for years.

  6. Your countryside looks and sounds so interesting and your weather is (or seems to be) permanently good - I expect they will find numerous 'boy' things to do without any
    help.

    1. The countryside is certainly beautiful here, but it's not always the case with the weather. Still, boys usually manage to find plenty of things to do.

  7. Sounds like Lady M and son will play with drone while you and grandsons go off and make dams and campfires.

  8. Very clever Lady M, although it will need to be a drone to carry cargo.

  9. Drones are not 'dangerous fun'! You can do all sorts of dangerous things on bikes and go dangerous places too.
Can imagine the enjoyment, yours and theirs

  12. Brilliant idea. That could be the answer to all sorts of things - tie a sausage to it.

  13. Don't fly the sausage too low - you may get a low flying dog at the same time. (We had our storm last night)

  14. We had a cracker of a storm last night - you must have had it first as it came up from the south! Another one brewing just as we are going to a 70th birthday garden party!

    1. Yes, it's still there. I've been using it as a studio throughout the winter. Bikes are best.
