It's 6 am on Sunday morning. I can hear a 'Rave' going on somewhere in the woods, and it's just started thundering. Strange summer.

DeleteA rave in the woods? Are the visitors up early? It took me a second to get it but it was funny Camilla calling the notes, mothers in law.

DeleteRe giant cous cous. My friend andI had it in a restaurant - it was one of the best salads we have had in ages. We have both looked everywhere for it but couldn't find any until finally my friend found some in a Health Food Shop in Richmond. It needs cooking like risotto rice but the result was rather good but not as good as the salad in the restaurant - I think it had more herbs in it. I just put lots of chopped mint, along with small bits of cucumber, tomato and spring onion and then quite a lot of honey and mustard dressing. We shall revisit the restaurant and ask if they will give us the recipe.

DeleteMs. Ullman had a TV show here in North America in the mid-80s. Then she just disappeared off the North American rada.

ReplyDeleteWe make Couscous all the time so easy. I even have it For breakfast with a hard boiled egg and chopped tomatoes. I never liked mint so I don't use it just salt pepper, lemon and olive oil.
Couscous is a 'regular' in this house; usually eaten with a spicy Lamb or Chicken Tagine.
