Then he relocated.

I took the above photo about 10 mins before I went off to bed.

About an hour later there was a short period of thunder, lightning, and heavy rain. Bok HATES storms, and came to join me on my bed. Freddie also turned up; but he always does.

So, I ended up with a dog on one side of me, and a cat on the other.

Not the most comfortable way of trying to sleep.

  1. I hope none of them snore.
We too finally had a little rain here last night, fine drizzle; it has been a very dry winter.
    Greetings Maria x

    1. We've had some rain, but not enough. I have known it rain for weeks on end through Spring.

    1. I tend to lie very still for fear of disturbing them. I should just throw them off. I did take Bok downstairs after it was all over.

  3. They don't want you to feel lonely while Lady M's away.

  4. I used to have a Rottweiller / Doberman, and she was a big dog! So what she used to do was slink under the duvet when I was asleep and I would wake up in the morning with her tucked up beside me. Unfortunately, due to a messy divorce, she had to be rehomed. We don't let our rottweillers sleep on the bed. We'd have to sleep on the floor if they did!

    1. Bok isn't a BIG dog, but he tends to sleep right up against my back, so that I can't move. That's why I made him go downstairs again.

  5. I think it is an Australian term, gunshy, to describe dogs who are frightened or alarmed by storms and thunder, fireworks and gunshots.

  7. Bok is missing Lady M snuggling up with him on the 6" of the couch he leaves for her.

    1. I think you're right. She makes more of a fuss of him than I do.

    1. I don't begrudge him seeking our refuge; something must have spooked him when he was just a pup.

  10. My cat doesn't know he's too big to sleep with me. He needs as much bed as I do. If I can get him to the floor, he stalks away to sleep with the kid.

    1. Freddie just walks all over me, sleeps a bit, taps my head, walks all over me again, sleeps a bit more, etc, etc.

    3. He was doing it again last night; at least being an insomniac I'm not actually asleep.

    1. He's not so bad now with sudden gunfire; he used to go crazy. Storms seem to trouble him most of all.
