I took the above photo about 10 mins before I went off to bed.
About an hour later there was a short period of thunder, lightning, and heavy rain. Bok HATES storms, and came to join me on my bed. Freddie also turned up; but he always does.
So, I ended up with a dog on one side of me, and a cat on the other.
Not the most comfortable way of trying to sleep.
I hope none of them snore.
ReplyDeleteWe too finally had a little rain here last night, fine drizzle; it has been a very dry winter.
Greetings Maria x
We've had some rain, but not enough. I have known it rain for weeks on end through Spring.
DeleteAnd the little one said
ReplyDeleteRoll over
Roll over
So they all rolled over
And Cro fell out
I tend to lie very still for fear of disturbing them. I should just throw them off. I did take Bok downstairs after it was all over.
DeleteThey don't want you to feel lonely while Lady M's away.
ReplyDeleteBok's very caring.... you may well be right.
DeleteNo wind I hope ;)
ReplyDeleteNone indoors anyway!
DeleteI used to have a Rottweiller / Doberman, and she was a big dog! So what she used to do was slink under the duvet when I was asleep and I would wake up in the morning with her tucked up beside me. Unfortunately, due to a messy divorce, she had to be rehomed. We don't let our rottweillers sleep on the bed. We'd have to sleep on the floor if they did!
ReplyDeleteBok isn't a BIG dog, but he tends to sleep right up against my back, so that I can't move. That's why I made him go downstairs again.
DeleteI think it is an Australian term, gunshy, to describe dogs who are frightened or alarmed by storms and thunder, fireworks and gunshots.
ReplyDeleteHe hates anything loud, the ones you mention especially.
DeleteMy immediate reaction was the same as Maria's in hoping that Bok doesn't snore.
ReplyDeleteNo he doesn't, but he does dream of running.
DeleteBok is missing Lady M snuggling up with him on the 6" of the couch he leaves for her.
ReplyDeleteI think you're right. She makes more of a fuss of him than I do.
DeleteI think no more rain here until next winter.
ReplyDeleteGoodness! We have a bit of everything on the horizon. Sunshine, rain, hot, and cold.
DeleteThey don't want you to be lonely.
ReplyDeleteThey don't want me to sleep.
DeleteWhen they're worried, scared,or hurt they always go to the one they love, where the feel most protected. You lucky man.
ReplyDeleteI don't begrudge him seeking our refuge; something must have spooked him when he was just a pup.
DeleteMy cat doesn't know he's too big to sleep with me. He needs as much bed as I do. If I can get him to the floor, he stalks away to sleep with the kid.
ReplyDeleteFreddie just walks all over me, sleeps a bit, taps my head, walks all over me again, sleeps a bit more, etc, etc.
DeleteAll my cars do that, four divided between the two of us.
DeleteCats.
DeleteHe was doing it again last night; at least being an insomniac I'm not actually asleep.
DeleteWelcome to my world
ReplyDeleteI did think of you when they were both there.
DeleteSweet Bok! I love him!
ReplyDeleteHe's a lovely boy, I adore him.
Deleteawwww sweet cutie pie. The Square Ones never cared about the noise. They lift their heads and back to sleep.
ReplyDeletecheers, parsnip
He's not so bad now with sudden gunfire; he used to go crazy. Storms seem to trouble him most of all.
DeleteI love Freddie !
