Nuts in May

Personally I think Candice-Marie was right; 72 chews does seem an awful lot.

  1. The clip won't play so I can only guess at its content.

A good friend of mine chewed thoroughly, nay, thoughtfully, in a meditative kind of way. What would take some a few minutes to wolf down, some fifteen minutes to enjoy, he'd savour well past the plate's cold-by-moment. It wasn't so much agonizing to watch as vaguely (why?) disturbing. Maybe, of course, he was a cow reincarnated. Have you ever watched a cow chew, from side to side as they do? Puts you in a trance.

    1. Try to find it on YouTube; I quite expect it'll remind you of your friend.

  2. Keith has gone full circle and come back as a hipster. Mike Leigh at his best.

    1. He's also very much like an old college friend (who was chucked out). My friend looked very much the same, but spoke with a strong Caribbean accent; an odd mix.

    2. Apart from the play itself, it also holds many memories for me as to where I was and what I was doing at that time. (All good).

  4. If we all chewed for so long there would be no conversation at a table.
    I like her accent.

    1. If you ever have the time (a wet Sunday afternoon perhaps), it is worth watching the whole play. It'll be something you'll never forget.
