      It's amazing how troubling it is to lose contact with the world. It's my oldest son's birthday today too.

      It was cut off at about 5 pm yesterday, and it only returned at about 2 pm today. I believe a very large area was involved.

      I believe a huge area was totally closed down; possibly for the installation of 'fibre optics'.

    We have rain in New Zealand, a low signal and an ageing tablet computer..I feel your pain! Glad you now are reconnected

      With both the telephone and internet disabled I felt very cut-off; I don't have a mobile.
