Sorted!

I can't tell you how happy I am to have solved my Summer shoes problem so early in the year.

Usually I'm still hunting around for something light and airy up until September, but this year my early search has proved fruitful; and it's still only May.

Simple throw-away canvas shoes are essential here in Summer, and these three pairs should do the job; although I might buy more grey ones if they have any more in my size (they're actually very pale grey)

Like many men, I tend to buy in bulk. If I see something I like, and it's in my size, then I go for a job-lot. The only disadvantage being that even though my clothes are regularly changed, it appears that I've been wearing the same ones for months!

So, 3 pairs of pumps for €18; canny shopper or what!... Now, if only I could find a few pairs of simple half-price shorts.

  1. Tom spends £400 on a pair of shoes, Cro spends six euros. Talk about from one extreme to the other!

    1. He was thinking of buying an £800 pair, so he's actually saved £400 this week (on shoes alone). This means that he could buy another £400 pair next week, and they would have cost nothing! Logic.

    2. There is a different logic - I spent £175 on a £3500 Armani suit recently, which means that I can now afford another 7 pairs of £400 shoes, and still get a Jermyn Street shirt with the change. So far, I have got the shirt (£20 from Bicester Village) and I intend to fritter the rest away on women and fast cars.

  2. That is just what I did last week three pairs of canvas shoes for the summer - they run out so quickly in the shops that you just have to snap them up.

  3. They look so comfy you've got me thinking that something like this might do me. I shall have to go hunting.

  4. I have that green pair on at this very moment. Canvas shoes are a must for me as well.

  5. Saw a chap today, very young and fashionable (apparently) in bright pink jeans, a herringbone jacket (too small) and a pair of these shoes.

You must have you finger on the pulse of cutting edge fashion Cro. Please don't wear them with pink jeans though. Seriously.

  6. Excellent! I have a pair of sandals i really love wearing in summertime. I bought another pair that are similar and that were a lot cheaper, but i don't like them as well. Both are good on the boat, and i like knowing i can have a dry pair.
