Festival of Slowth - 2024 - Wales

Whilst down here in Sussex, 'The Festival of Speed' was taking place at Goodwood, up in Wales 'The Festival of Slowth' was in full swing.

I've always rather fancied owning some simple old sporty 'banger', but I'm afraid that my mechanical knowledge is zero. I leave it to others.

That does it - i have to build one. That looks like excellent fun.

It's nice to see that the Welsh are finally giving up their horses and pit ponies and have at last decided to step into the modern age.

Much more fun than the Goodwood affair.... the wonderful engine notes and the shapes of many.... some practical, others totally impractical... and others, streamlined and obviously built for speeeeeed!!
Thank you for posting this, today!!
It is now in my favourites folder!!

I've always wanted one of those sporty Austin 7's with the aluminium body. Great fun.

Look you Boyo; I happen to be 44% Welsh.

I would rather own one of these than one of the super-fast machines from Goodwood.

More fun even than the London/Brighton Old Crocks run.

I don't know how to raise the hood (bonet) on my car, but owning something that puts a smile on my face is worth every penny.

You're not alone, I always find it tricky opening the bonnet on my car too!

This looks like so much fun! The cars came in all shapes and sizes. The lawn mower race was pretty funny too.
