I'm not normally someone who would support uprisings or revolution, but this is an interesting development, the Iranian citizens are at last fighting back against their evil rulers. So many ordinary Iranians against so few Mullahs; numbers are certainly on their side, and it looks as if a regime change is on the books.
A regime run by clerics (who represent a religion which says it's OK to kill women who don't wear their hijabs correctly) deserves everything coming to them.
I see revolution in the air. Bring back the Shah!
They'd have been better employed had they knocked off their heads as well.
ReplyDeleteI don't doubt that that will come later.
DeleteExpect the ayatollahs in a Mosque near you soon. We are a dumping ground for the dregs of humanity.
DeleteReligions are meant to foster good living, kindness, happiness and social harmony and yet so often they create bitterness, intolerance and the spilling of blood. I am glad I am an atheist walking in the luminescence of disbelief. Good luck to the citizens of Iran who at last seem to be standing up for change.
ReplyDeleteAnd it's so good to see young men looking after the interests of young women.
DeleteContempt can be a useful weapon.
ReplyDeleteAnd they deserve it.
DeleteI hope it doesn't turn nasty.
ReplyDeleteI expect it will, but if it ends with the Iranian people being able to live better lives, then it will have been worth the struggle.
DeleteA rather gentle protest against religious extremists by people of the same faith, albeit not indoctrinated.
ReplyDeleteMy Iranian friends say regime change is coming. Anything can happen in this old world. Look at USA and Roe v. Wade and the terrible reversal in women's rights.
ReplyDeleteI think the Iranians have had enough. Time for some form of democracy.
DeleteGood for them!
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteI hope things get changed over there, it's shameful what "they" are allowed to do to women.
ReplyDeleteI hate to say it, but it all comes down to religion. There is more nastiness done in the name of non-existent gods than one could ever have dreamt.
