Animal Rebellion protesters pour milk over Selfridges floor.

These little darlings get more and more ridiculous, pathetic, and out of hand, by the day.

The staff in the major London stores, where such acts of vandalism are taking place, are instructed NOT to intervene. They simply have to stand-by and watch until internal store security, or the police, arrive.

The 'darlings' aim is to convince the government to promote plant-based food, and force UK citizens to follow a vegan way of life.

This type of violence only makes people turn against them. Like the silly girl tipping liquid excrement over the recently erected statue of a 100 year old, fund-raiser, military hero. Certain protests are guaranteed to have the opposite effect to that which was desired.

If you wish to promote a vegan life-style, open a restaurant, start a shop, offer free vegan soup to the needy. Don't pour milk all over the floor at Harrods, Fortnum's, or Selfridges.

It is childish, and wasteful. I do wish they'd grow up!

p.s. The little darling with the beard, Stephen Bone, is now facing prosecution for causing £100,000 worth of damage at Fortnum's. Will he pay-up? Of course not. Will he receive a prison sentence? Of course not. This is England after all.

  3. Milk on a tiled floor could cause someone to slip and suffer a life-changing injury. These folk give veganism a bad name.

    2. These loony groups as you call them are all part of the same organisation. They have sponsors to cover their costs. Google. . . who pays activists.

  5. That is outrageous behaviour. I hope that the law will come down hard on the perpetrators. Not on grounds of their ideology (let them eat grass) but on grounds of wilful damage, the definition of which is "intentional and malicious destruction of or damage to the property of another". It's just not on. No ifs, no buts.

    1. For once I agree with you. Have you been eating your Weetabix this morning?

  6. I sometimes bought my lunchtime sandwich in Selfridges. Just a major pain for people like me who had to get up at 5.50 am to earn a living. They should try it then they wouldn't have the energy for this nonsense.

    1. I often used to have my breakfast there. I lived just off the Edgeware Rd and it was very handy.

  7. I do not understand why arrest or a fine does not hold up. A few weeks/months in jail or a steep fine might stop the nonsense. If the protesters know they can get away with whatever they plan, what is to stop them?

    1. The law is on the side of the criminal in England. It has been for a long time.

  8. Wow. That is shocking. It is outright vandalism. A friend of mine was a store manager at a farm supply store. They were robbed. The cashier handed over the money as per protocol, but Jeremy who happened up front as the man was leaving with the cash sailed out the front door, tackled the man as police were called, and held him until the police arrived. Every penny was recovered. He certainly shortened the investigation. Furthermore this wasn't the man's first robbery, so he stopped a serial thief. The company's response? They fired him.

    1. I'm surprised the thief didn't sue him as well. 'Against his 'uman rights'.

  9. How very stupid of them! Making the floor dangerously slippery, making others have to clean up after them, wasting so much milk, needlessly. How on earth do they think this will help their cause? And why would they think EVERYONE should go vegan? Lifestyle is a choice, a personal choice.
Did anyone notice if they were wearing LEATHER shoes and carrying LEATHER bags?

    1. These people have always been hypocrites, yet they think they are always right. We now have loony groups all over the place doing stupid things, and no-one does anything about them. Such is 'freedom'.
